Seattle has been able to think and plan on a more grand scale than Vancouver, simply because Seattle isn't under all the red tape restrictions that Vancouver is.

Seattle is just as scenic as Vancouver, yet its allowed to be a big city. Of course Seattle has its share of urban problems, as many cities do. 2020 was quite a bad year for most cities.
