The Nature Of Reality (TNOR)

What is, The+Nature+Of+Reality? (TNOR) Is this world part of a cosmic MATRIX
https://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Reality , http://fusionanomaly.net/realities.html
This can be a personal quest as well as a general human cultural quest.
http://fusionanomaly.net/matrix.html , http://fusionanomaly.net/virtualreality.html
There are many questions and there are several answers about TNOR.

There have been some interesting intersections between William Gibson and U2 over the years.
https://www.atu2.com/news/connections/gibson

The William Gibson MATRIX certainly added to the concept of Big Data and Data-streams...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Gibson#Visionary_influence_and_prescience
"a.k.a. the matrix
A term coined by author William Gibson in his novel Neuromancer, it refers to a vast computer network or growing mass of interconnected networks." https://www.netlingo.com/word/matrix.php ,

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuromancer#Background

Of course by the early 1990s, U2 would end up doing their own version of the Cyberpunk music and entertainment theme and stream.

So in the early 1990s, Bono was flying around The ZOO TV MATRIX before people saw Neo doing his Superman thing in The MATRIX.

Obviously The_Matrix_(franchise) was intended to be on a much larger scale than The 13th Floor. However, The 13th Floor is just as fascinating in exploring TNOR.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_13th_Floor_Elevators 1965-1969
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/You're_Gonna_Miss_Me In another context, this song could have been a warning about people opting out of their reality and going into Virtual Reality.

Question TNOR, indeed.

http://fusionanomaly.net/elevators.html
The Thirteenth_floor is a level that exists and yet doesn't exist in many buildings. It can be a mechanical floor or a service and storage floor or sometimes it's skipped or omitted. That just means it's not officially in the building floor count, but its still there.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoo_TV_Tour#Conception
ZOO TV was all about big time entertainment and emerging digital technology on the horizon. However from another perspective, what if this world is part of someones zoo?

"The zoo hypothesis speculates as to the assumed behavior and existence of technically advanced extraterrestrial life and the reasons they refrain from contacting Earth and is one of many theoretical explanations for the Fermi paradox. The hypothesis is that alien life intentionally avoids communication with Earth, and one of its main interpretations is that it does so to allow for natural evolution and sociocultural development, avoiding interplanetary contamination, similarly to people observing animals at a zoo. The hypothesis seeks to explain the apparent absence of extraterrestrial life despite its generally accepted plausibility and hence the reasonable expectation of its existence.[1]
Aliens might, for example, choose to allow contact once the human species has passed certain technological, political, or ethical standards. They might withhold contact until humans force contact upon them, possibly by sending a spacecraft to planets they inhabit. Alternatively, a reluctance to initiate contact could reflect a sensible desire to minimize risk. An alien society with advanced remote-sensing technologies may conclude that direct contact with neighbors confers added risks to oneself without an added benefit." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoo_hypothesis

"I'd never seen anything like it in my life," the Washington lawyer said. "They were large for dragonflies. I thought, 'Is that mechanical, or is that alive?' "
That is just one of the questions hovering over a handful of similar sightings at political events in Washington and New York. Some suspect the insect like drones are high-tech surveillance tools, perhaps deployed by the Department of Homeland Security.
Others think they are, well, dragonflies -- an ancient order of insects that even biologists concede look about as robotic as a living creature can look.
No agency admits to having deployed insect-size spy drones. But a number of U.S. government and private entities acknowledge they are trying. Some federally funded teams are even growing live insects with computer chips in them, with the goal of mounting spyware on their bodies and controlling their flight muscles remotely.}

The Digital Labyrinth (TDL)

TDL is an intersection between news and entertainment, mythology and technology...

Anything from urban_legends to science & fiction, to urban high-tech culture, is referenced.

This blog is a portal into referencing popular_culture and various POVs on Architecture, A.I., Cyberpunk, Engineering, Mathematics, Medicine, Music, Urban Issues & other technologies expressed through science & fiction. There is some occasional referenced content with mature themes. Such as some sarcasm and toilet humor...

Exploring The+Simulation+Hypothesis is one of the main themes, as well as pondering The+Nature+Of+Reality, in general. There is also an occasional metaphysical angle at TDL.

Unless otherwise indicated, this referencing blog doesn't make any money. Thus, it is of a non commercial nature.

Millions of people have written billions of articles posted on various websites and blogs. Why try to rewrite or copy what they have already done? Thus, as a referencing blog, readers here are constantly provided with links to many sources from various perspectives. This blog has a lot of movie and TV spoilers

Some posts might remain in draft mode until a certain amount of info is gathered. While other posts might start out with just a few links with some more things to be added later on.

The hypertext is quite an interesting concept & invention & is used extensively here. This multi-branch reference blog provides many links to other websites, especially specific web pages so that readers can find pertinent links. The search_engine keeps evolving & searchenginewatch.com is a good site to get lots of info. The website, cnet.com is one of the best technology sites around.

Wikipedia.org is referenced here quite a lot for general purposes. Whether its the Star_Wars universe or the Star_Trek universe, all referenced links here are intended to direct readers to the various proprietors of websites for a more in depth perspective. Technovelgy.com is one of the best websites showing transitions from sci-fi concepts to technological reality. And cyberpunkreview.com is sublime for its observations & presentations. http://www.cyberpunkreview.com/cyberpunk-movies-by-decade

Characters in books, movies & TV series like The Observer, can motivate some people to think about the concept of time travel or a parallel_universe

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons

Origins: from the Clay_tablet to the tablet PC, etc.
The Digital Labyrinth can refer to just about anything throughout space and time.

{An idea is a form (such as a thought) formed by consciousness (including mind) through the process of ideation. Human capability to contemplate ideas is associated with the ability of reasoning, self-reflection, and of the ability to acquire and apply intellect, intuition, inspiration, etc.. Further, ideas give rise to actual concepts, or mind generalizations, which are the basis for any kind of knowledge whether science or philosophy or impulsiveness.}

Idea: John_Locke
{In striking contrast to Plato’s use of idea [3] is that of John Locke in his masterpiece An Essay Concerning Human Understanding in the Introduction where he defines idea as "It being that term which, I think, serves best to stand for whatsoever is the object of the understanding when a man thinks, I have used it to express whatever is meant by phantasm, notion, species, or whatever it is which the mind can be employed about in thinking ; and I could not avoid frequently using it." He said he regarded the book necessary to examine our own abilities and see what objects our understandings were, or were not, fitted to deal with. In his philosophy other outstanding figures followed in his footsteps - Hume and Kant in the 18th century, Arthur Schopenhauer in the 19th century, and Bertrand Russell, Ludwig Wittgenstein, and Karl Popper in the 20th century. Locke always believed in good sense - not pushing things to extremes and on taking fully into account the plain facts of the matter. He considered his common sense ideas "good-tempered, moderate, and down-to-earth."} http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/John_Locke, http://abc.go.com/shows/lost/timeline

Technology can be used to reveal codes & clues about reality, but it can also suppress things.
So unless people really want to question reality & study various perspectives, many things remain hidden or lost. http://www.thelostsymbol.com/main.html

"When the soldiers of the future want to communicate, they’ll read each other’s minds."
No matter how advanced technology can get, I'm still amazed that the concept of the crystal ball can be traced back to ancient times. Its not like they got the idea from watching TV. Then again, how did primitive folks even think of a talking flat screen technologies, otherwise known as a magic mirror? Its like they were tapping into a psychic Internet. Of course, how can anyone ever prove that there could be a Cosmic Internet?
Given enough time, humanity could build a galactic size & eventually a Cosmic Internet.

Yet, the crystal ball, the talking mirror along with psychic perception, might very well be indicative that an ancient Cosmic Internet already exists. Indeed, the universe could be running like a vast cosmic program. Jim Elvidge has produced quite a fascinating book, www.theuniversesolved.com and website about the nature of reality.
So many people already believe that the universe is the result of a powerful Force or creator. Science is beginning to recognize the level of organized complexity that is binding various things together on several levels. Eventually quantum computers could run extremely detailed life simulation programs. However, thousands of years before the concept of the supercomputer was the cosmic Akashic_records, reincarnation & The_Wheel_of_Life.html, but according to some we aren't suppose to think of the universe as being like a vast hard drive of space & time. Well even as a Metaphor or Analogy a lot of clues are revealed.
