Person of Interest (The Super)

Its fascinating to observe when various things start & end throughout history. The supercomputer depicted in POI is an intriguing part of this entertaining TV series. Of course, such special computers are essential for massive surveillance

Taraji_P._Henson is one of the main people in POI & was born on 9-11 in 1970.

Enemy of the State (1998) movie

"Thomas Reynolds' birth date is given as 9-11-40."

The TV series, Person-of-Interest also has an interesting connection with the #911.

"Gibson traveled to Tokyo in 2001 to prepare for this new novel, which takes place in London, Moscow, and Tokyo.[3] He did not travel to London or Moscow but used interviews with friends and internet resources for research.[4] In September 2001 Gibson had written about 100 pages but was struggling to finish. He stopped writing after watching the September 11, 2001 attacks on television and "realized [the novel] had become a story that took place in an alternate time track, in which Sept. 11 hadn't happened".[1] He considered abandoning the novel but a few weeks later re-wrote portions to use the attacks as a motivating factor for the distress the main character feels.[2] In a 2003 interview he said, "There I was, in the winter of 2001, with no idea what the summer of 2002 was going to be like. ... In the original post-9/11 draft, London felt more like London is feeling right now. Cayce keeps seeing trucks full of soldiers. But I took that out, because as it got closer to the time, it wasn't actually happening."

The Shining and Doctor Sleep

The_Shining remains as one of the most enigmatic and cinematic productions in history.

https://slate.com/culture/2021/07/overlook-hotel-july-4-ball-centennial-guide-hottest-parties-1921.html

A reincarnation loop trap where Jack was there before, but in another body and time. With VR, people can pretend to be various people, animals and creatures. How did people in ancient times ever get the idea that this world might be part of a system where humans return to have more than 1 life experience? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reincarnation#Origins , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reincarnation#Religions_and_philosophies The implication is that its all some kind of a cosmic interactive recording and projection. https://www.reddit.com/r/Futurology/comments/3jdpzr/reincarnation_in_virtual_reality

https://the-take.com/read/at-the-end-of-the-shining-why-is-jack-in-the-photo-of-the-overlooks-july-4th-1921-party The ending of the movie implies that not everyone has a nice and comfortable life, and death. That there is a sinister force which can trick and trap people into orchestrated horrible scenarios.

"In the film, the motive of the ghosts is apparently to "reclaim" Jack (although Grady expresses an interest in Danny's "shining" ability), who seems to be a reincarnation of a previous caretaker of the hotel, as suggested by the 1920s photograph of Jack at the end of the film and Jack's repeated claims to have "not just a déjà vu". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shining_(film)#Comparison_with_the_novel

"...If I had ever been here before on another time around the wheel I would probably know just how to deal With all of you And I feel Like I've been here before..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiDOMuhpqUo The song, Deja Vu could easily be about the wheel of life and reincarnation.

Of course a lot of directors will use some of the source material from a book, but their interpretation can sometimes result in a roughly parallel story or an alternate storyline. https://www.fusionanomaly.net/stanleykubrick.html

"On October 30, 1974,[7] King and his wife Tabitha checked into The Stanley Hotel in nearby Estes Park, Colorado. They were the only two guests in the hotel that night. "When we arrived, they were just getting ready to close for the season, and we found ourselves the only guests in the place — with all those long, empty corridors".[5]

Ten years earlier, King had read Ray Bradbury's 1950 short story "The Veldt" and was inspired to write a story about a person whose dreams would become real. In 1972, King started a novel entitled Darkshine, which was to be about a psychic boy in a psychic amusement park, but the idea never came to fruition and he abandoned the book. During the night at the Stanley, this story came back to him." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shining_(novel)#Background

Of course a story by Stephen+King or any writer, can be altered or adapted into a movie or TV production.

Suspect (Luigi Mangione) in the killing of UnitedHealthcare’s CEO

 https://apnews.com/article/unitedhealthcare-suspect-ceo-assassin-shooter-eaee0b7d31b319f42e0cf7f2f7badfb1

If its proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he is the shooter, or was involved with the murder in any other way, he is facing several decades or even life in prison for the murder of UnitedHealthcare+CEO+Brian+Thompson

For any young guy going into the big house for the rest of his life, he will likely be heavily used and abused by the very hardened convicts.

He will be their plaything and party toy, but at the end of the day, he will just become another prison boy.

His trial for taking the life of CEO+Brian+Thompson will likely reveal his motive.

The Global Surveillance Industry...

Things like GPS & RFID certainly have a good side, but the dark side of using data & digital-security can be challenging. https://wikileaks.org/the-spyfiles.html
As the Web grows, personal_privacy is tougher to maintain. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiLeaks
The TV drama, Person-of-Interest provides a fascinating depiction of a supercomputer that can record & access almost anything.

A Whistleblower claims that Boeing's 787 Dreamliner is flawed, prompting FAA investigation

 https://abc7news.com/boeing-787-dreamliner-issues-whistleblower-sam-salehpour/14641022/

It's always in the best interest of any corporation to maintain high standards.

https://abc7news.com/plane-engine-flies-off-southwest-airlines-flight-makes-emergency-landing-denver-international-airport-boeing-aircraft-issues/14631104/

https://abc7news.com/us-secretary-of-state-antony-blinken-other-department-officials-grounded-by-problems-with-boeing-jet-issues-news/14610784/

"Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun said Monday he intends to leave the beleaguered company by the end of the year in a major shakeup of the company's leadership. Boeing's chairman and the head of the commercial airplane unit are also leaving." https://abc7news.com/plane-engine-flies-off-southwest-airlines-flight-makes-emergency-landing-denver-international-airport-boeing-aircraft-issues/14631104/

All these aircraft problems could be used for part of a larger agenda. An agenda to eventually get most people to become afraid or very uncomfortable about choosing air travel.

https://www.aef.org.uk/2023/03/09/should-we-fly-less-the-inequality-of-air-travel/

The problem is that a lot of people require air travel.

https://www.dw.com/en/to-fly-or-not-to-fly-the-environmental-cost-of-air-travel/a-42090155

Eventually, the world might be forced into a carbon credit control system.

https://www.greenpeace.org/eu-unit/issues/climate-energy/46764/the-shocking-extent-people-are-encouraged-to-fly-in-europe/

Thus, a person might have to get permission if they want to fly more than a couple times a year.

https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20200218-climate-change-how-to-cut-your-carbon-emissions-when-flying

Ultimately, such a global carbon credit control system would be managed by AI. Then how would angry people be able to complain to an AI control system?

https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2019/may/22/could-you-give-up-flying-meet-the-no-plane-pioneers

Unfortunately, a human herd management system could gradually be implemented upon the world. AI can be a great tool for humanity, but if humans eventually just become a tool for AI, then it will become a very inhumane world.
