How many times could a high-tech civilization risen and fallen over the course of a few billion years on a planet that's well over 4 billion years old?

Unfortunately, the current pinnacle of Earth civilization is flirting with WW3.

Was the world’s oldest pyramid (built 25,000 years ago) not made by humans?

 https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/world-s-oldest-pyramid-built-25-000-years-ago-was-not-made-by-humans-archaeologists-claim/ar-AA1sGSoN

A lot of people seem to be uncomfortable with the possibility of history and technology going much further back than the conventional POV.

https://www.vice.com/en/article/a-prehistoric-pyramid-may-have-just-rewritten-human-history-scientists-claim/

For some, this goes right into forbidden knowledge.

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/archaeologists-criticize-alleged-discovery-of-the-oldest-pyramid-in-the-world-180983490/

If indeed human history and technology does go back much further than conventionally accepted, that might imply that humanity might have made the climb from the stone age to the space age more than once.

Today, there are various people that would like civilization to be smashed back down into a dark age. Some would even like to test out their most powerful weapons to wipe out most of the population. IE, a WW3 scenario.

Whether there was an ancient world war or some big time natural disaster, almost everyone could have been destroyed. An ancient advanced civilization and its technology would be the stuff of legends or mythology today.

Movies like Deep_Impact , Meteor and Armageddon depict a natural impact into the Earth scenario.

Vladimir Putin puppet issued chilling warning of 'consequences' to West over Crimea attack

 https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1914712/vladimir-putuin-ukraine-crimea-missile-strikes-ATACMS

Things are gradually getting closer towards a nuclear version of the Chicken_game.

At a certain point it might not matter which side were to set off the nuclear phase of WW3. The end result would be a very small percentage of survivors living in their underground bunkers, next to their toilets and septic tanks. That really is the height of civilization, according to some madden.

A draft under any other name is still a draft.

https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/how-would-conscription-uk-work-31955816 There is a lot of potential of a war draft becoming a World War draft. A 21st century world war can make a tremendous amount of money, even if it kills off most of the planet.

https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1224003/world-war-3-what-is-military-draft-age-is-UK-at-war-Iran-drafted-for-war-conscription

Apparently, the height of civilization is for a very small fraction of WW3 survivors to live in their underground bunkers next to their toilets and septic tanks.
