In The_Thirteenth_Floor movie, a person goes into a non invasive pod and temporarily links into something like a photo-realistic version of SimCity. They merge into something like one The_Sims. You still feel like yourself but if you look into a mirror, you see the CGI lifelike character that is your temporary shell.
