Russell-Brand seems to looks like a homeless man who had just been to a thrift-store.

This is hardly the look of a young, handsome man. Its rather more the look of a scruffy graying bearded old man living on the street.

There is the desire for a lot of young men to sport a rugged, bearded, handsome look, but not necessarily appear to be homeless.

However, once that beard goes gray, it can be very difficult to avoid looking like a scruffy bearded old man who has given up.
