A.I. drones and RoboCop

There might be a little problem when A.I. is occasionally programmed to hunt and kill certain people.

The 2014 and 2017 movies titled, Drone depict how drone pilots find it more and more difficult to do their tasks. Drone_(2014_film)#Premise , Drone_(2017_film)#Plot , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_featuring_drones

Human emotions keep getting in the way, where as autonomous units simply hunt and kill the human targets. However, at a certain point, what if the A.I. decides to attack all humans?

When RoboCop was released in 1987, people got to see an intense depiction of a severely injured man that was revived and rebuilt into a robotic body. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RoboCop#Plot

The movie was set in Detroit but was mostly filmed in Dallas. https://www.dallasfilmcommission.com/robocop-dallas-locations-then-now , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RoboCop#Filming , https://www.movie-locations.com/movies/r/Robocop-1987.php , http://www.thennowmovielocations.com/2019/05/robocop-1987.html

Then in 2016, Dallas became the first city to use robotics to kill a person.

https://www.texastribune.org/2016/07/08/use-robot-kill-dallas-suspect-first-experts-say

"Peter Singer, a strategist and senior fellow at the New America Foundation who writes about the technology of warfare, said he believed this was a first. “There may be some story that comes along, but I’d think I’d have heard of it,” he said.

Others concurred. “As far as I know, it appears to be the first intentional use of a lethally armed robot by the police in the United States,” said Elizabeth Joh, law professor at the University of California at Davis." https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/jul/08/police-bomb-robot-explosive-killed-suspect-dallas

Eventually, fully autonomous robotics would be used in similar situations.

RoboCop: Exoskeleton and Bionics, etc.

http://www.robocop.com/site
This version provides other interesting perspectives not covered in the first version.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RoboCop_(2014_film)#Plot
Both versions are about a person becoming a Cyborg.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1234721
His head & especially his brain are the key human remnants transplanted onto a bionic or robotic body.

Dr. Jack_E._Steele was a pioneer in human & machine interface research.

In the 1970s, author Martin_Caidin wrote about how bionic or robotic limbs & other mechanical parts could help to rebuild a crippled person.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyborg_(novel)#Plot_summary

In this case, most of the body might not be damaged, but it could be 50-50.

In this scenario, 80% or even 90% of the original body was damaged beyond repair.

Iran’s president and foreign minister died in a helicopter crash

https://apnews.com/article/iran-president-ebrahim-raisi-426c6f4ae2dd1f0801c73875bb696f48

Well, the crash and death of Ebrahim_Raisi has certainly added something to the mix.

Curious people might want to take a look at RoboCop_(2014_film). The movie doesn't clearly explain, but something has happened in Iran. A lot of Sci-Fi movies provide future glimpses of potential scenarios.

Could someday something thing big enough for the Western Military & very advanced robotics have to take over Iran? https://quincyinst.org/2024/02/03/beware-the-iran-pearl-harbor-moment

https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2021/09/untangling-the-benefits-and-risks-of-biometrics The movie, RoboCop_(2014) opens with a robotic takeover of Iran. While using killer-robots to invade various regions or countries might be tempting, it could set a disturbing president.

Humans, Robotics and Bionics

Key theme, a more or less intact human head & brain is transferred onto a robotic body.
http://www.cyberpunkreview.com/movie/decade/1980-1989/robocop
Thus, this could be considered as bionics, as well as robotics.

Key theme, certain robots are constructed to replicate humans, but with super strength.
http://www.cyberpunkreview.com/movie/decade/1980-1989/blade-runner
Some of them don't realize that they are A.I. machines.

In this exciting TV series the robots know that they aren't human.
http://thedigitallabyrinth.blogspot.ca/2013/11/almost-human-tv-series.html
However, perhaps at some point in the series, there might be one that has been programmed to not really know what it is.
