The monstrous creatures in the movie, Pitch_Black avoid the light and come out to feed at night.
Where as the monstrous creatures in, A Quiet Place use sound to locate their victims and food. So one type has good sight for hunting at night while for the other species, its all about using its strong sense of detecting souind. It doesn't matter where you hide, they will eventually find you.
The creatures in, A_Quiet_Place_Part_II and in part 1 are just as monstrous as those in, Pitch Black.
A_Quiet_Place Part 1, really introduces the audience to a monstrous new world of death and destruction.
