Although his portrayal might not be considered to be as heavy or intense as the Dark Knight version, or in The+Batman movie, MC still did it very well.

From Beetlejuice to Batman...

Sometimes a clue is provided in one movie about a person that will be in another movie, even if they are unrelated.

Beetlejuice:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDm4L7gjYNs At the 1:18 point, the bat at the top of the hat is revealed. Then at 1:20 the bat wings can be seen. Then at the 1:30 point, the entire hat costume is shown.

Beetlejuice (1988) "Principal photography began on March 11, 1987." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beetlejuice#Filming

Batman_(1989_film) "It was shot at Pinewood Studios in England from October 10, 1988 to February 14, 1989 with 80 days of main shooting and 86 days of second unit shooting." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman_(1989_film)#Filming

Most people wouldn't have noticed the subtle symbolic Batman foreshadowing in the Beetlejuice movie.

While Beetlejuice and Batman aren't in the same realm, some people wonder if there is a subtle connection between The Matrix universe and the John Wick world.

The Batman: Robert Pattinson

https://screenrant.com/batman-movie-robert-pattinson-performance-jeffrey-wright-response

It remains to be seen if this series of Batman movies will eventually rival the very intense The+Dark+Knight movie series. However, it doesn't have to, as its merely another take on this tough guy character.
