The Batman’s Allusion to the Zodiac Killer Is Equal Parts Brilliant and Terrifying

 https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-features/the-batman-riddler-allusion-zodiac-brilliant-terrifying-1235104753

Many people will hope that there will be an R rated version of this movie on bluray-and-4k-uhd.

https://www.denofgeek.com/movies/the-batman-exploring-the-riddler-and-zodiac-killer-connections

As a PG-13 movie, it's meant for a wider viewing audience

https://www.denofgeek.com/movies/the-batman-matt-reeves-rating

A movie such as this should have an R version, but it's not really necessary for the overall presentation of the story-line.

A blu-ray version of The_Batman should have a lot of extra things, but an R version remains to be seen.

Of course the Joker_in_2019 was intended to be an R movie, right from the start.

The_Batman was always meant to be a very intense, dark-and-gritty movie. Whenever in costume, Batman is suppose to be a serious and brooding character. Yet, the movies violent tone still had to fit into a PG-13 edit.
